Timing

Marketing that lands too late is a donation.

Every trade has a window. The campaign has to be in place before it opens, while the homeowner is still thinking about it instead of panicking about it. These are the windows the calendar is planned around.

The seasons

  • Late winter

    Roofing and exteriors

Winter damage is visible and spring crews are not booked yet. Running here reaches the homeowner while they are still deciding, not bidding.

  • Spring

    Cooling, concrete, landscape

The first warm week is when the air conditioner gets tested and the driveway gets noticed. You want to already be on the counter and in the search results.

  • Late summer

    Heating and electrical

Furnace and panel work sells best before the first cold snap, when it is still a plan instead of an emergency.

  • Fall

    Plumbing, gutters, winter prep

Water heaters, pipe work, gutters and generators sell in the weeks when the homeowner is closing the house up for the year.

And the window that isn’t a season

The week you finish a job on a street is a window too — and it opens wherever you happen to be working. A campaign can be planned to follow your crews instead of the calendar, or both at once: the signs and door hangers move with the trucks while the mail and the ads follow the season.

The community calendar runs on its own clock

Sponsorships and event tables are booked months out — the spring home show, the summer festival, the fall fundraiser. Those dates get set first, and the rest of the campaign is planned around them.

After the weather

The street already knows something happened.

After a hail or wind event, every house on the block has the same question and the same list of out-of-town trucks knocking on the door. A company that is already in the mailbox, already on the corner sign and already the top local result reads very differently from a knock.

We do not write storm-chasing claims, insurance promises or “free roof” language into a campaign. The offer has to be one you can honour.
